Seems like mine has been using 5w-40.
Thought that the book recommended 0w-40 ?

i think they suppose to use 0-40 as it's full synthetic. i heard that the 5-40 is cheaper non-full synthetic. you can get 5-40 at costco and in large jars at walmart but the 0-40 only come in quarts(more expensive).

official authorize MB dealers are required to use mobil 1 full synthetic, but of course the option is up to the client. i'd do my oil change outside the dealer and get a good OEM filter plus good synthetic oil irregardless of brand, you will save around 30 to 40 percent on cost.

I reviewed the records and the dealer has been using 5/40 for oil changes.
In the manual it does not state exactly the viscosity....it just says use only MB approved oils
BTW, with a coupon, the oil change is only $90 at this dealership...can not beat that!
