flat black wheels with red lip on black w221?

got a 2010 black S400hybrid and a set of poished 20" SSR GT3. thinking of power coating the wheels matte black and lips translucent red or orange with matching caliper in red or orange. like this:
too much bling/rice?

was thinking of black and green lip with green caliper in line with the hybrid theme but don't think i can pull that off.

2010 S400 Hybrid- look ma, I'm green!
Keep the lips green like the photo. Show your true color

Depending on the looks like you're trying to achieve. If you're not going to lower it and add other mods, I don't think it would look nice. Keep it simple IMO. I just think the red lips would probably make it loose its class but that's me.

I always like nicely polished/chrome lips.

the car is going to be lowered like yours today with lowering links. our dealer tried the star but failed. i found the green lip wheel pic online, those are not mine. the second post is what mine look like- completely polished. the car is stock except the smoked side markers and will be lowered today. can't even have tint here in pa. not sure if i can pull off "any look". probably just going to powder coat the inside flat black and leave the lips polished. wonder if pinstriping tapes can curve in a circle- reversible to try out the looks. was going to powder coat the caliper too but looking for BBK or euro s600 caliper upgrade now.

went out to look at my car today-noticed how puny the brake rotors are-both front and back. will not powder coat the calipers nor add accent to the wheels. too ashamed of them to draw any more attention than necessary. new plan-flat black or flat dark carbon gray the whole wheel-not even polished lips. the car will be black and minimal chrome from now on. maybe even get rid of the small blue hybrid sign on the side.

if I must go black, I'd do all gloss black on the entire face of the rims but leave the bolts chrome the way they are. it will compliment the polished lips better IMO.
