Hello Everyone,

Has any 2007 S550 owners installed an aftermarket media interface in their vehicle? I'm scheduled for a service visit to the dealership on Monday and I want to get the media interface installed in my 2007 S550 and I just learned that it's not compatible with any model older than MY 09. I've been searching the net to find an alternate aftermarket solution, but I haven't found any true alternative (Mid-City Engineering had something a few years back, but can't find anything now). What do you guys older models use to play your music from you ipod/iphone?

I wonder if this is compatible with the 2007. According to the dealership, models older than the 2009s don't have the HD radio, which is required for proper operation of the media interface.

There was another set like that above that was selling on ebay the other day. It stated that it was taken out of an 07' S550? So I'm assuming it will work? I know you need to have the "aux" option in your command though to have the mp3 function to work. If you don't have that,you will need to have the dealer update your command system.
