Which MY is it(facelift or pre-facelift)and which options do you have on your vehicule:
There are different choices in headlights on the pre-facelift W221 (afaik)only .There is: plain ones, xenon or halogen ,the ones with or without 'curveassist'; with nightvision without nightvision.This means different types of units ,have you got the right one and is everything connected correctly ??
Quite a difference in pricing of the units too :the 'full option' ones cost double the amount of the standard ones over here.
