I really love the look of the side vented fenders ala lorinser style...
could you tell a difference if i purchase these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/07-08-09-10-...5ba426&vxp=mtr
and get them painted to my specific car color....
would it look any different than the lorinser ones?
has aynyone done this?

hi all,
i just got off the phone with a body shop, and he says that in order to match up well i would need to paint the doors and also hood?
theres no way i can match up the existing barolo red and just painting the fenders?? i really want the lorinser style fenders..... anyone?

Why don't you read how to install them first and the you will run away from it,why you want to risk to have your nice car turned into a junky

the fenders with mesh vents would make it junky? or matching the color?
ive always loved my cars with vents (range rover, m3...)

What I mean is read up how to install them ,read between the lines of all the warnings regarding picking the right body shop to install their product.
If the shop messes up your are ending with what I wrote above
Good luck

I have had the lorinsers done a few times, and the body shop always said the passenger side needed a bit more fit work, drivers side was perfect. Also the pinholes werent that bad with the lorinser according to the shop. Now i did extreme dimensions kit before and it took a lot of prep work to make it somewhat perfect. I hope the quality improved since I did my ExDi kit 7 years ago. and duraflex seems to be a great.
I noticed a lot of their stuff is out of stock also.

how did the duraflex turn out? did you have to paint the doors aswell? i REALLY want these fenders for the spring/summer but dont want a complete repaint job.
if i ONLY get the fenders matched up to the cars color, will it be noticable?

As long as ur car doesnt have any pearl in the paint he should be able to match the paint with out doing the doors..Although most guys perfer to do the surrounding areas..its call blending

i have see the lorinser kit on this color before and its very sharp, i will try to find pictures

Yea..that needs to be blended for sure.. any type of pearls, mettalics, or any color shifting paints needed to be blended .. alot of collision places will reject a car with paint like that
