First let me start by saying THANK YOU for such a great resource of information and awesome discussion board, I have read for quite sometime as a guest and just registered today.
I have read and read the threads but I still am not sure exactly what I need to do and or install to make my car be able to either stream my iPod/iPhone via the command system.
I have a 07 S550 4Matic AMG sport package, it has the center console Bluetooth adaptor installed for my phone (still can't get phone book to transfer but that's another issue). In the Command menu I have no option for AUX nor do i have the iPod cable in my glove box, I have read and some threads say I need to do a " Nav update, & telematics update, traffic update & aux input" or "video activation and to update the command with latest update instead of asking for telematics update" and I may need a Media Interface.
So I am jut a bit confused at exactly what i need, I called my service adviser and you may have thought I asked him to split an atom because he had NO idea what I was talking about.
If someone can let me know exactly what I need to accomplish this (AND APPROX COST) iPod/iPhone music and Pandora streaming etc through command that would be great.

I haven't been able to figure out how to *stream* music from my iPod whereas getting my android phone to stream was easy and works nicely.However,my Bluetec came with a cable that allows one to hardwire an iPod to Comand and *that* function works perfectly for me.Of course things could be different with an '07.

I've kicked this topic around for sometime, I've discussed it with MBUSA and Mid-City and both stated that there are no solutions available for the 2007 MY to integrate the iPhone/iPod into the Command. The best you can do is get an Aux cable installed and use the earphone jack to play music through your head unit, so that's what I did. I can't control it through the Command, but I can listen to streamed music through the unit. It sucks that they didn't consider this being an issue until 2009.

So here it is... I re-installed the puck and made sure it was turned on properly this time. The puck I have is the black one (given to me by the dealer). The dealer was not sure how to operate it properly. Oh well.. I started the process of syncing at 2 again and.............Holy sh** it worked. The sync code needed with the Black puck is 62872.
I have been working on this since Monday.

Hane the dealer sync your phone right there and then. If not alresdy installed, have them install tha puck...That is what they call it. There is a link to mbusa about this issue. When I find it, I will post it for you good Luck
