29k + miles, no vibration, even with a tire that needs to be replaced.

the platform is not prone to vibrations (inlike the x166 for example).

vibration are almost always traced to faulty tire balance. even when done with a road force balancer (which it should always be the case) some of the hunter dsp road force machines are simply out of wack. if you are having a repeated issue - try a different vendor/ machine.

if you want to optimize your results always overinflate the tire when balancing to amplify its' irregularities. once balanced that way you adjust back the tire pressure and results are usually very very good.

ofcourse that assumes your steering geometry is alright and you have no worn out bushings.

If the vibration is related to tire/wheel imbalance, an out of round tire, wheel runout, a properly applied road force balance on a within spec rim, will address it.
If the net road force is within range, it will roll without vibration.

The problem is very few wheel/tire techs know how to operate and makes use of the functions in the machine. Not surprisingly, the road force feature set is not well understood and most tire shops and dealerships have no idea how to really use the machine, other than as a standard dynamic balancer.

I'm sure there are some shops that know what they are doing. I know one place in the ny metro area that fits that description. I would think that tire rack would be able to provide a set of road force balanced wheel/tire sets as well.

I'm not in the date range but my oem wheel/tire set mounted balanced by the mercedes dealer has a bit of vibration. However for my winter tires, I purchased a set of OEM MB 18" rims "new" in the box with minor cosmetic damage. I had the wheel/tire tech check the rims (nearly dead straight ) and bought a new set of Michelin xi3 winter tires. They were road force balanced, match mounted where necessary and measured with a nice and low road force. There is no vibration at any speed, at any time.

Now that it's time to go back to summer tires, I'll have to bring the summer tires in to check road force and rebalance and remount as necessary. It's worth the extra cost to not have any vibration at speed. I even did it for my Chevy Volt, absolutely no vibration at all.

Our goal is to find a solution.i have driven 2 2012 and 1 2013 new cars and they all had the vibes, actually worse than mine.
Its the motor mounts and the transmission mounts that broken which causes the vibration. I just had mine replaced. Now I cant even feel the car running.

2006 S500
Bought a 2010 S550 4Matic- LOVIN IT!!!

For several years I’ve been driving a 2006 S500 fully loaded with amg package with s55 rims on them. I’ve decided to buy a 2010 S550 4matic after a test drive from a local dealer because they a a beautiful looking luxury ride that almost similar to the late s550 newer models and this particular model is FAST!!! Initially, I was looking at ang Benz models that had 6.3 liter. For some reason I decided to drive the s550. It has so much room and more luxury updated perks that made me buy instantly on spot with CASH.

to date, I have several cars that includes both benzs and ultimately prefer to drive the s550 no matter what. Hasn’t been a problem so far but I bought a 3 year warranty with it just in case.
Also, I’ve bought 19” amg staggers rims and tires which are and still have original rims and tires as well!!
