ABC malfunction

Today, the ABC system failed on my driveway and leaked fluid all over the place. M/B dealer was helpful and had car towed within an hour. In all the years I have been driving never required any car to be towed. This is a first for me. This car is a garage queen or king. Only has 33K. Thank God I bought extended warranty. Anyone else have a similar problem and determined the cause. 2007 S600.
I must admit this car makes me very nervous to continue owning it. In the last twenty years my main drivers have been 2-BMW 7, 1-LS430, 1-LS460,1-C5 Vette. The first BMW had a few minor feature problems (not mechanical), never had one problem with both Lexus's, and only minor stereo problem with Vette. The M/B had various warranty problems according to the original owner, plus I had A/C failure, now this. I'm very worried about the turbo charger hose problem that I read about here. I'll let you all know what they find.
Should make this point before I close, that the M/B dealer has been very helpful and supportive.

FYI. ABC high pressure hose burst. I have Major Guard coverage with 0 ded. so they paid for the repair in full, except for the V belt which got wet. Repair including V belt was $1128. Since the car is approx. 6 years old I had them flush and replace the coolant, and trans fluid at additional cost. Dealer provided tow for free. Major Guard also provides for a rental but I didn't need one. Mileage is 34,000. All in all very expensive repair for type of failure. No major parts. Just hose, fluid, V belt.

that hose needs to hold what, 200bar? Car is 5 years old. I wouldn't be that upset, considering you knew there would be some MB tax on parts at the dealer.

I think you need to drive your car more. No sense in letting that V12 collect dust. A lot of my experience comes from the Porsche world, and at least with them, rubber parts start falling apart faster on cars that just sit. Glad you got the warranty. Could have been pricey!
