clunking noise when turning

2007 S 600 / '06 911 Porsche C4S cab
clunking noise when turning
When turning right there is this wierd knocking noise coming from the front end. Won't make it to the dealer for a few days but wonder if anyone has experienced this. Maybe a tie rod end? Car ( '07 S 600) drives ok otherwise.
Any ideas?
