Changing pedals install instructions & pics inside !
Have ordered the A 170 300 00 04 (Accelerator) and A 170 290 01 82 (Brake AMG-style) pedals.
How do I replace the accellerator pedal ?
Do I have to drill the top pin out and replace with nut and bolt ?
As on the image attached it shows for W221 its one complete unit
compared to the 'original' which is 'bolted' .
Have not checked on the car yet..
The brake pedal seems to be just ripping the rubber off then replacing with the aluminium style one.

I've done this on a 216.
The brake is just remove rubber, replace (its a bit of pain to get the lip over the metal pedal.
For the gas pedal, you simply pull the pin out. You have to squeeze the center tunnel side of the pin. Once it you get it out a bit, you can slide pliers behind the lip and pull the pin all the way out. Then you can pull the pedal towards.
At that point, you slide the rubber "cover" off the old gas pedal and the metal cover off the new pedal.
Then, add some dish soap into the new metal cover, and slide it over the old pedal, rotate it back up, and slide the pin back through.
Getting the pin out can be a pain, but once thats done, its about a 10 minute affair.

Job done.
!00% Correct Oliverk .
For illustration I have added some pics: it is one of the quickest and most rewarding mods imho.
(have paid ~51 Euro's for both rubbers shipped from dealer to my home.)
The covers made of rubber ,so with silicon-spray absolutely easy to slide off and back on.
Btw the accelerator pedal comes as one piece,so you have to slide the rubber off etc. bc the holes of the actual acc.pedal do not match for W221(with the above partnumber) Perhaps MB just sells the rubber as solo part.

Nice work! I thought from this previous thread, https://mbworld.org/forums/new-s-cla...cel-pedal.html, that the whole accelerator assembly had to be replaced. Nice to see that just the accelerator pedal cover can be replaced. This will be one of my next mods.
