Acceleration issue
Help!!!
Sometimes when I drive the my S550 has no power. I can floor the gas pedal and the rpms climb, but the car crawls. Then it goes back to regular mode. It's like a limp mode. Not running any codes. Mercedes dealer says they are 75% sure it's the ecu. 75% just isn't enough for me to spend about two grand to have it replaced and not be the problem. I really have no faith or trust in the dealer, as they have messed up twice on my car before by not repairing previous problems correctly. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this. Please help before I have to take my car in for service.

It's not a tranny issue? Sometimes it just doesn't feel like it's getting enough gas? It doesn't slip. More of just a hesitation until something releases or kicks in.

Try reseting the edu.
1) With the car off.
2) Press the gas peddle all the way down.
3) While the peddle is being pressed, turn the key to the 2nd positing (ACC).DO NOT START CAR!
4) Hold it down for about 20 sec.
5) Let go the gas peddle, and start the car normally.
Try that and see if it help.

I am currently out of the country, in Vietnam. I can't wait to get home to try this. If this works, you are officially the man. I won't be home until November 3rd. But I will definitely keep you posted. Thanks for any suggestions.
