SPEEDRIVEN Tune
I know many of you have had good luck with Speedriven and rave about their ECU/TCU tunes. Unfortunately I had the exact opposite experience.
In April of this year I purchased a ECU/TCU tune from Speedriven for my 2007 S600 for $1,240. I shipped my ECU/TCU to them and received them back a few days later. After reinstalling my car had numerous faults and was stuck in "limp home mode". Aleks asked me to ship the TCU back and they would restore the stock file and within a few weeks they would hopefully have a fix. This was done and once again I was back to stock and my car worked just like before. It took a few emails from me and a little over 1 month later they claimed to have figured out the issue and asked me to re-send them my ECU/TCU to try the tune again. Only problem was that they expected me to pay for shipping! So instead I asked for a refund, which I was told earlier they would happily provide. But when I asked for the refund, suddenly Marcin starts a new policy that they need to flash my ECU back to stock before a refund can be issued. I was more than willing to send them my ECU to flash back to stock (even though the ECU was already at stock, I noted no performance changes and complained about this a month earlier) but I asked them to pay for shipping. After all I had already paid for shipping and had they NOT screwed up the tune, additional shipping would not have been necessary. But Aleks and Marcin refused without giving any explanations and stopped all communications.
Hopefully my bad experience can save others from making the same mistake.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I got in touch with Marcin and he is taking care of the issue. He was not aware of my situation as I was communicating with Aleks who is no longer at the company. Marcin was extremely knowledgable about our cars and very helpful. Thanks Marcin!

MBWorld Fanatic!
That's good to know. I was going to get some work done. Glad to hear they are willing to work with customers. Interesting how one employee has the power to tarnish the entire company.
