I read on a Benz blog that the unveiling will be in September of this year. Europe almost always gets the cars first followed by the US launch a few months later.
So perhaps we'll see it mid 2014 as a 2015 model? Or maybe it'll get pushed up and we can get it as a 2014 model?
Going off recent history, Benz likes to use 7 year life cycles except for the SL which is more like 10+. The first model year in the US for the W221 is a 2007 so if history repeats itself, it'd be a 2014 model for the W222.

it is my understanding that the car will be debuted at the paris auto show this year and will be available here in the usa this autumn of '13 as a '14 model year release. but that's just what i read. it stands to reason that the '14 car will be here this autumn if following past trends.
