"bouncey" or "floaty" on bumpy road 20-40mph?

Lately I am seeing a rather pronounced bouncing of my 2007 4matic s550 on mild, bumpy roads....its to the left and right more so than just up and down...anyone have this type of symptom? I am wondering if struts fail completely all at once or over time...could this be problem? Also have wondered if the air suspension is functioning, but is slower than before as it ages? Not sure if either hypothisis is even possible, but really would like to get my normal ride back....dealer has not found any issues.

Any ideas out there?

Have same symptoms. Plus "wishy-washy" feeling on wet roads. Should not be from hydroplane. Looking for any positive response you get.

Never got a clear resolution.

Since the post, I did replace the tires and get another alignment, the tires seemed to help more than anything, I don't really notice it as much after replacing. New tires are Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus....I noticed the symptoms with my old Continental Extreme Contact DWS.

Hydraulic shocks inside the airmatic struts may be worn over the years.
Have a look inside :

**Thanks to the motor-talk.de forum** this shows a comparable W220 strut.

Another idea maybe to recalibrate the Airmatic system as a whole with Star ;whereas pressure in each individual strut can be adjusted/ calibrated especially after having replaced one or more airmatic struts?
