Hi...hoping someone can help with this question.
I just purchased an iPhone 5 and realized the cable in the glove box is a 30 pin connector that worked perfect with my iPhone 4, but will obviously not work with the new 8 pin lightning connector.
Every 30 pin to 8 pin adapter that I've seen only charges and syncs and will not support audio/video.
Is there anything that is made to make the cable in the glove box fully compatible with my iPhone 5?

Are all of the iPhone functions usable from the steering wheel control?
Also......does it charge the phone too?

On my 07 R I can still control it from the steering wheel and it does charge the phone.

Apple's got a pretty decent return policy. So you can always buy it, try it out, and if it doesn't work just return it.
