M273 DIY Oil-Change any tips & tricks?

I am about to do an oil-change (Mobil1 0W-40 229.5).

Couple of questions I do have :

for the oil-filterunit is it a 76mm,12-sided 'socket'(Mann LS7) to loosen the housing ??

Then when the filter-cartridge is replaced , do I need top off the filter-housing with new oil ;

before to replace the O-rings and close the housing?

What are tightening torques for the filter-housing and the carterplug.
(Yes I will replace plug+ring)

Anything else I need to know before I start?

Yes it is that tool ; replace all O-rings they come with the new cartridge.

The new oil can be filled throught the open filter-housing, its easier, and if you are quick ,the filter can be soaked in oil.

Housing 25Nm;Plug 30Nm.

Replace the (carter)plug-ring.
Since I have just performed this maintenance I have noted the replies in red .

Costs :
8.5L Mobil1 newlife 0W40 (MB229.5Spec) = 80 Eur
Filter-cartridge Mann HU718/5 = 4.47 Eur
Carteplug+ Ring = 1.70Eur
Use of bridge = 20 Eur

Total 106.17Eur ~ $138 + an hour of your time.
