s350 comand system
i have a comand system in my 2003 s350 that intermittently turns on or off without pressing the on button--i have experienced the system staying on or turning itself on over night which runs the battery down and everything has to be reset---=has anyone had a similar experience as the mechanic i have consulted suggested that the only way out is to replace the command brain at great cost!

If your car is from 2003, you should ask from the W220 forum instead of this W221 forum.
This sounds like a typical issue and the W220 forum probably already has the solution. If I remember right, there are things like "remove the DVD from the Navi drive, or was it the head unit" and Comand head unit SW update, possibly other units at the fibre ring.
