DIY: Key Battery Replacement

I was driving today and noticed that my dash informed me to replace the battery in my key.

Materials: New battery (CR2025 3v) and small blade.

Here are the directions:

Step 1. Pull the grey lever to the right and pull out the L shaped key.

Step 2.

Step 3. Turn the key to the back side and insert the Key into the left side.
This will press out the back key cover.

Step 4. Take a blade and pull out the battery.

Step 5. Install the new battery and replace the cover. Then reinsert the key.

WARNING--
This is NOT how to install the battery in all 221 or 216 key fobs. I know that the 2007 keyless go key fob battery is not accessed this way. Instead, the circuit board with the battery slides out and the sides of the key fob are NOT removed.DO NOT ATTEMPT to pry the side open unless the manual for your vehicle shows doing it this way.

DITTO on the 08, you use your valet key to press a button on the top of the key fob and pull out the entire chip. I guess the 2010 and up is different?
