New Tires, Valve Stem Question...
Hello all,
Quick question...when replacing tires on these cars, should the valve stems be replaced or due to TPMS is this typically not done?
Reason I ask is because I had 2 tires replaced by the local MB dealer due to imperfections/damage from the roads around here. Less than 48hrs later, one of the tires is down to 24psi and another at 36psi (despite being 39/40 when I left the dealer.)
I had this same problem on a car I owned previously due to the dealer not replacing the valve stems (eventually causing a blowout) and am wondering if MB should have replaced the stems while installing new tires.
Thanks in advance.

Afaik you can remove the valve-stems from sensors. Looking at what these things cost I would say replace at all times ..At M-B your invoice should show these anyway??
Before installing new tyres I have the rims checked on the inside for any oxidation or damages.
My tyres I get from an expert Indy ,bc usually better deal ,as well as expertise.
