Questions about fitting the S65 AMG body kit
Hi all,
Basically I am looking at buying and fitting an S65 AMG body kit to my standard pre-facelift W221, but I have a few questions that I hope you guys could clarify for me.
1. The S65 front bumper doesn't have fog lights. So what do I do with the original fog lights?
2. What is the best way to wire up the DRLs? Relays tapped into the side lights?
3. My car is short wheel base and the S65 is long wheel base only. Can the side skirts be simply cut on one end and then re-join? Or is none of the holes going to line up?
4. What grille do I need to keep the distronic functional? Do I HAVE to get it from a dealer? Or is this going to work? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360493326702

1) I would wire the fog light to a resistor found on eBay
2) I would wire the led DRL p to the side markers . But I would install this As well in line with it .
Now if you want to get creative you can also splice the turn signal output wire and wire it parallel with item below and when you turn your signal both will blink . Meaning your singal and your led strip ,Since you have a constant incoming feed from the side markers the turn signal will act as ON/OFF realy ,thus will make it blink .. , other wize will stay on when signal is off
Archiving 1) fog lights off but with no warning
2) led strip with no flicker
3) giving the RDL the turn signal effect functionality .
