Need help choosing year round tyres
Hey guys,
My father is looking to change his Continental sport contact 2 tyres since they are worn out and the car is slipping a bit on dry surfaces. He has a 2011 S 350 with the AMG sports kit (19 inch rims). I'm trying to find the best year round tyres for his car since have winter and summer tyres is not an option. I read that driving on winter tyres all the time is fine so I would like to hear your input here. Where we live, the roads are terrible in mountainous terrain with worn out tarmac that is very smooth and slippery especially when wet. I know very little regarding finding the correct tyres for such a car so I would like to hear what you think. Here's whats written on the front and rear tyres: 255/35 ZR20
275/35 ZR20.

Go with the Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus ... I had the Continentals that came OEM (ContiPro Contact (?) and then the Continential DWS Extreme Contact.....I have had the Turanza Serenity Plus for about 9 months and the car (s550 4matic) is dramatically better ride and handlng...not a minor change...huge amazing phenomenal one. The Bridgestone's were a bit more $ , but I would do it again in a heartbeat....just my two pence...

My 07 s550 4matic, I have Continental DWS on for about a year now. Great grip in wet, dry and light snow for sure. My Lexus sc430, I have the same tyres mounted. I'm driving the Lexus all year round with minimal issues in winter months with icy condition.
I'd buy these tyres as long as they are still manufacturing IMO.

voml55AMg DWS Conti's. Absolutely + one. I live in snow country and these and my 4Matic are a great match. Going into my third snow season w/ them. Super pleased in snow, rain and dry.
