My last company went belly up so before I buy another aftermarket warranty for an upcoming S class who would you recommend and why?

Thanks!

Dave,

If your new S has any warranty left I suggest you give Jeff Santos a call. He beat all of the calls I made to Benz dealers by a considerable amount. I also considered USAA which was very close to the deal I received from Jeff. Others I know have had no problems with USAA.

I have USAA and had to use it once and it was great. I will keep it as long as I can on my S550.

I will echo natcahd on MB of Elmbrook, and coincidentally I just got my car back from the dealership for work so I have some very current input.

2007 S550 4Matic which needed engine/tranny mounts, control arms and the transmission conductor plate. The one that makes you car rev, but not go. Or the one that detects something wrong with the tranny and puts the car in limp mode, and can almost get you killed by a rear ending semi because your car won't go!

I dropped the car off for diagnosis, the service advisor called Nissan Extended Services to confirm/approve repair work. He said all was approved over the phone, first try, and I would be responsible for about $200 worth of fluids, filters and miscellaneous "stuff". I agreed and it took two days to do the work. In the meantime, the Nissan Extended Services rep offered to provide a rental car as part of the contract. I said I have other vehicles, so I did not utilize this option, but thought that was very good customer service. I realize I probably paid for it in the vehicle service contract.

Today I pick up my car and the service advisor indicated Nissan was very good to work with, he actually said flawless. His words. He then proceeded to go over the repair process and ended with my portion of the invoice. It came to a whopping $34.45!

This is my only "heads up" about my contract, and it is not a big deal. The contract they sent me clearly has the $50 deductible checked, however, Nissan says their copy shows a $100 deductible. I called Nissan and they said to call the selling dealership, which is Mercedes Benz of Elmbrook. I doubt I will call, as a $50 OR $100 deductible is not going to sway me one way or the other in my opinion of their vehicle service contract. So the total for my portion of a $3,200.81 bill came to $134.45 out the door. They even covered the tranny fluid! All I paid was the tranny filter.

I am sold on this company and MB of Elmbrook. I have had other VSC with other providers and none performed so well. My vote is to at least call MB of Elmbrook and give them a shot. The gentleman I worked with is not the one listed above, but I cannot remember his name. If you search this forum, you will find his name. Either way, great customer service!

Smile Mercedes extended service options.

Hi Brian,
I am very interested in the Nissan Extended service contract. I too spoke with Jeff and was quoted about $3600 to extend my CPO contract for 2 years and 100k. I would like to extend it by more years and was not sure what Nissan offered and what the contract "does not" cover vs. the Mercedes contract. Jeff had also mentioned the Infiniti warranty and I was unsure if it was related to your Nissan policy? My car has 27k and I plan to keep it for 5 years. I average about 12-15k miles a year and is always serviced at the Mercedes dealer. Any advice is much appreciated!

My 2007 S550 4 matic is 3 months out of MB Extented Warranty. Will Nissan Extented Warranty sell me a policy?
