$50 says 2010 onwards (if they support W221 at all).

I hope I'm wrong since I have a 2009.

Knowing how Mercedes is, watch them only support the current S. I hope this isn't the case. More manufactures needs to start offering upgrades to past vehicles. Technology changes too fast, but iphones are here to stay
