2009 S450
Hi
I know it is a very old post but thought my experience might help.
I had the same problem with my 2009 S450, Formatted the 16 GIG SD, copied my MP3 music files on, and it started working.
Hint; Make sure you put the card reader with the right side up or else you get error message.

PS: Make sure you format at FAT32 and my Command is NTG3
