Star Diagnostic System
Starting to kick around the idea of purchasing a Star system but not sure where to start. From my reading it looks like you can purchase from MB but it will block all the safety related programming. Can anyone recommend what system (I see several on eBay) that would work for 2004 e320, 08 S550, and a 2013 E class that I will be purchasing later this year. I have a budget of around $1500 for this.

At $1500 you might get a few genuine cables. The original tool is ridiculously expensive and only makes sense for a workshop and not even all workshops.
