Hello -

It appears that I have some kind of oil leak on the upper rear of the engine toward the center...anyone have any ideas?

I can't really tell exactly where it is coming from, and is not a gushing kind of leak, but thin coating on several areas in the rear and passenger side of the rear of the engine....a bit concerning, obviously...

There are three grommets in the valve covers that can fail. I had this happen a couple of years ago. The cost of parts is minimal, but it can take an hour of labor to replace them.

Is this the "rear cam seals" issue or are these valve cover grommets located in same area?

Updated - Pulled it apart a bit...appears to be the rear oil separator cover and/or hose that is leaking...

We had this problem on our car. It was the rear cam seals. It was done under warranty. Parts were cheap, but as Steve said, I think there was some labor time to access them.
