Replaced door latch now cannot open from locked

SOLVED Replaced door latch now cannot open from locked
Have an S550 2011 (flood damaged)
The drivers door latch broke inside the door lock and it would not stay closed
So went and got anew mechanism and replaced it, same part number
Now it all works fine EXCEPT once I have locked it, it will not open, keyless go seem to work, I can touch the door to lock it and touch the door again to unlock it, BUT when I pull the handle when unlocked, it will not open
If I open it from inside, then its fine, afterwards the outer handle works perfectly
each time I lock it, the problem comes back
I suspect this some kind of electronic problem, have I installed it incorrectly (forgot to plug something on) or is ther some kind of coding or teach in process in DAS for when the latch is replaced (I still have the old latch if needed)

Almost fixed now, have three main problems left, led side light will not work, transmission slips a little between changes, hope a teach in will cure that, in not will get another unit and finally brakes keep sticking, pedal actually takes over and pushes itself to the floor, going to work on that next week.
Challenge that took the longest time to cure was the AC stuck in limp mode. Will update that thread later but just cured that. Ended up buying a LIN BUS analyzer for $70 and used it to help pinpoint the stepper motor problems. Finally out of limp mode :-)
