22x10.5 ET40 tire siize 285/295?

I just bought new wheels for my car and I am about to order some tires for them. I do have a question on what size tires. I know generally we, depending on the offset and width, we shoudl stay around 245/255f and 285/295r. My question would be for people with a drop, what are your configurations and did you have to shave the rear fender? My s550 looks like the rears were rolled but not shaved.

fronts: 22x9.5 et 35 (i'm going with a 245 here)
rears: 22.10.5 et 40 (still debating which i should go with)

Drop should be pretty mild. I just want to get rid of the gap between the fenders.

All input is greatly appreciated!!

Also, I just purchased my s550. Its white with P2/Pano/Nightvision/AMG packages. After i get the wheels installed with the drop, i'll post some pics.

If I ran 295, would I rub with that wheel setup? Or should I be safe and go 285?

That's almost the same offset I have on my wheels that I have for sale. No rubbing. Are you planning on lowering?

Yes, probably just enough to get rid of the horrible gap between the wheel and my fender. Maybe 1 - 1.5 inches. Rear fender is rolled but not shaved so i just want to make sure i don't rub. What are the offset of your new 3pc 5 spoke wheels? They line up right to the fender.

pure sexy btw
