Can you roll down the Windows w/o rolling down the sunscreen?
With a couple little monsters in the back seat, I now have milk stains on the sunscreens of the rear windows. How do I roll it down to clean it?
They pop out of the retainers at the top. The top edge of the sunscreen has little plastic pins that are a bit flexible, on both ends. Pop them out of the holes they are in, and hold the sunscreen from rolling back up into the door. Then you can do whatever you need to and pop them back in.
Be careful cleaning them because they fray at the edges easily, and the fabric isn't replaceable separately (comes with motor and mechanism)
Last time I checked the "discounted" price for one of these units was $1000.00 (seriously)

I find this tidbit more useful than the instructions to access the screen :-) Thank you!
Yes, they actually cost that much.. I looked it up.
And could NOT find a used one anywhere.. and according to Google, eBay, wrecking yards, etc... none had been available for a long time (if ever). Everyone said "only choice is a new one"
I was going to replace mine because it was jammed.. but after looking up the parts price I suddenly got motivated to go spend an hour fixing it
Tell the kids how much these things cost and make sure they stop playing with them as the screens go up/down. Always good to tell the kids that the screens are more valuable to you than they are, and if they break one the MB dealership accepts $1000 cash *or* a kid as exchange for a new screen. Once they know they can be exchanged for replacement screens, they'll behave
