722.9 Tranmission Valve body clean
Does anyone have any tips on taking apart the valve body to clean it?
Shop tells me its likely I have some crud stuck in mine (not shifting smoothly, but no error codes) and that if I clean it thoroughly with acetone, it should cure it
They say to ensure I mark each part of the valve body as I remove it which I will take care to do
Just want to check on here first to see if anyone has done this, I hear stories of ***** and springs falling out with other transmissions, am I likely to encounter any of this here?
Once I remove the solenoids and conductor plate, is it straightforward to take apart?
I would welcome any advice from anyone that has done this. I don't want to try and clean without taking apart as I'd likely miss the offending crud and be wasting my time

Id highly suggest buying this manual. Dissassembling a valve assembly is not easy and you have to make sure every part is in the right spot and position

There are both composite as well as steel stop ***** and a very complex valve system. If you have the diagrams it wont be too bad but there is a good number of valves and springs in this due to it having 7 gears
