I did it to my 2007 s550 a few weeks ago.
Plug and Play...Did all 4 Doors in about 15 mins.

I'm sure it's brighter? But again, maybe not. Typical mercedes markup is also in play here, but they due have a hefty heatsink on the back.

Mine are quite bright....and colorful too. I get compliments all the time on them.

This is one of those mods that seems gimmicky to talk about on a forum, but in person it does look good. Heck, 2016's come with them, 2016 Mercedes GLS has em standard.

I ordered 4 for my E350. They claim they are direct plug n play replacements for the stock door panel lights. I got the silver star ones. I can post pics once they are in. Would have rather made the light under the exterior mirror do this instead, but didn't see that as an option at this time.

You don't want them under the mirror, cause there are only two. I think it's MUCH cooler under the door. It's a surprise for anyone that opens the door and is super stealth. If Mercedes only ever offered on the doors and the aftermarket only offered them on the mirrors, everyone would want to do the door and follow what mercedes did.

Hi Jason,

I have a 2016 GL450 and would like these for my car. Do you know the OEM PN for the GLS? I am assuming that they would fit. If not, where is everyone on this thread ordering theirs from? I got a set off eBay and they are OK but wish they were brighter.
