I made a purchase today... a set of 06 SL 55 mufflers... haha
we will see, soon as I get them, I will head to the muffler shop, remove the resonators, secondary cats (with tune for CEL) along with installation of these AMG sebring mufflers + S63 tips. My car is 2012, so with tune + downpipes + AMG mufflers, it should be pretty quick!

I just did aftermarket mufflers axle back and changing nothing else, not the cats or the resonators and it was too loud. The sound itself was okay, but pulling from a stop the thing is roaring like crazy but the car's barely moving. I'd start with just the mufflers and drive it for a day or too before deciding.

this OEM AMG mufflers should be a lot more quite than your becker system.
plus, the downpipes will give me some of the performance with the tune.
maybe, i will hold off on resonators.. we shall see!

So got these boys in today.
The sound definitely changed, but not tremendously. I might just do straight pipe it!
The muffler design is actually crazy, it is straight through with out no restriction, but all that other parts are for insulation only.
I might put these guys for sale soon, they are already pipes to put on w221! Anyone? Lol
