FaceLift

That came out HOOOTTT!
Have you considered changing the rear taillights as well?
Would REALLY complete the look to 2010-2013

I want to do the front head lights first, and then do the tail lights.

do mirrors too...a must IMO. Really makes a difference.

Headlights?
What's involved with a headlight upgrade? I must admit as recent purchaser of my 2008 S550 I have not familiarized myself with the difference in 2007-2009 to 2010-2013 design.

Why did you downgrade to a C-class grille and remove the hood ornament?

tusabes 12-05-2014 06:30 AM

I like everything except the big star grille

The updated grille shape with slats is better

Grizz1 12-05-2014 08:08 AM

Agreed, the new S-class grille with the slats would look much better.

castroadan 03-19-2015 10:34 AM

I'm adding the light up start mod that's why I wanted the grill with the big star.

Windshield Time 03-19-2015 12:12 PM

That came out nice. When did the S Class start putting the hood ornament back on?

Chris The Swede 03-19-2015 02:05 PM

I though you said "complete" ? :D

Sorry I should have said bumper and grill face lift complete huh

Chris The Swede 03-19-2015 08:38 PM

:y

Hmm, the look is kinda interesting, and at night the lighted grill emblem may look pretty good.

justinmorrison 03-20-2015 02:19 AM

Am I the only person who prefers the pre-facelift tail lights and mirrors? The original tail lights were somewhat unique, and I've always thought the new ones looked generic, and could just as easily be found on a Ford sedan.
As for the mirrors, I think the more rounded shape of the originals fits the car better, and the "two fingers" turn signals on the facelift version looks a little too sporty and C-Class in my eyes

Chris The Swede 03-20-2015 09:05 AM

And I Think the old ones look just"OLD" and like all others...And the new mirrors fits the more "square" look of the front and grill. But most importent is that you are happy with it.

Many have said the old tails remind them of the older mustangs, and old school look:

I used to really like those taillights and still do, but the LED are a must if you want the car to look like a newer/current model with that jeweled crystal look.

I like the new mirrors much better and think they go with the face lifted models better. Also, the squared mirrors have more surface area, so it's more of a functional upgrade as well.

I agree with Justin about the mirrors. I think they look much better and more aerodynamic on the pre-face-lifted cars. The turn lamps in the mirrors of the face-lifted cars look odd at best and the shape seems too bulky.

The face-lifted tail lights on the other hand look better than the older style IMO.

Oh boy I wish you hadn't shown me that picture. Where can I get a set of facelift taillights?:D

Chris The Swede 03-21-2015 03:55 AM

Headlights then? Do you have nightvison?

Can you post an example, a pic or a link?

Looks so good! Im wanting to do the exact same. The drawback for me is that I have Night View Assist so the night vision projectors are the inside lenses of the headlight assemblies on cars with this option. So upgrading to the newer headlights would mean either giving up my Night View or spending $1500 per side for night vision headlight assembly. The front bumper looks so great though! That and the LED tail lamps and the square mirrors and you're set mate!
