Has anyone used an SD card to play music videos?
I'm not sure what file extension the vid was saved under as I use a Mac (and he uses a MacBook) and when I slipped the memory card into my computer I could see that there was already 8GB of info on his card but my Mac would not display what the info was.
BTW, what year is your system? The 07-09 are different than the 10-13 on the S and 11-14 on the CL
i use my little remote that came with the media player, and i have zero problem!

But......he has since pulled off the music I downloaded to his card and reformatted it to regain the 8gb of used space that we could not see on our Macs. So I guess we might never know what the file extension
was that played in my car.
When it began playing I was like WTF.......OK whatever........ But I opened up the folders I loaded to check them and didn't think much about the vid clip that played.
Wish I had invested more time into trying to figure out what type of file was the video.

When you have an accident that is unforseeable and you weren't impaired, no criminal charges apply. It's simply a case for civil damages even if you kill someone.
On the other hand when take it on your own to disable a safety feature directly against the demands of the manufacturer and someone dies as a result that could be considered aggravated negligence, a felony and punishable by 15 years in prison. Ordinary negligence is a misdemeanor with no criminal aspect regardless of how bad the injuries are. They can and will sue you civilly and your insurance will provide an attorney and pay the cost of the defense plus any monetary judgment the court awards them, up to your policy limits.
If you're using the VIM and are involved In an accident try to get it back out of the car regardeless of how liability may look.
