Interesting article re 4.6L Biturbo

I started to research the motor's engineering and design. At 10.5:1 CR -AND- turbocharged, I was wondering how they control detonation aside from the typical strategies (e.g., ping sensor(s), retard timing, efficient combustion chamber, etc.).
This article revealed a few things I did not know.
BTW, can any turbo whine be heard? Although it does not belong on an S-, it still sounds cool...
Edit: Click on "show/hide press release".

You can't hear a thing in my S600. But that could be because the cabin and under the hood is so well insulated. It also has no turbo lag whatsoever. Just a smooth rush of power. I assume the TT V8 in the '12+ S550 is similar, just on a smaller scale.
