Roof liner trim removal to replace sunroof
Greetings from Ireland. Great site you have here folks. Its a shame my first post is not on a more positive note.
Anyway here we go...My sunroof (not pano) decided to self destruct yesterday breaking the tilting/sliding mechanism brackets which are now sitting in my living room. I called the dealer to be told you can only buy the complete cassette unit which costs 1100 euros ex fitting
Its hard to believe the sunroof components cannot be purchased separately!!! A couple of calls to dismantlers and I managed to source a secondhand unit for 400 euros delivered which eases the pain somewhat.
As I plan on tackling this job myself Im wondering if anybody has any advice or pdfs on how to remove the roof trim?

I was thinking of taking the good components out of the secondhand roof as it came from a fire damaged car and fitting them to mine.
