Speedriven Downpipes for S600

Made from high-quality stainless steel and designed to be direct replacements for the factory components, these new, lightweight, high-flow performance downpipes from Speedriven deliver serious performance gains without compromising the sound quality of your V12 Mercedes.

BUY IT ONCE

Speedriven developed these downpipes to provide a significantly more exhaust flow than the factory units. This improved flow delivers a noticeable increase in horsepower, torque, and throttle response across the RPM range- but there’s more to these downpipes than a simple, “better than stock” upgrade. Speedriven developed these downpipes to provide sufficient airflow for everything from stock turbo builds to billet-wheel turbos to our most powerful, 1000+ HP “big turbo” packages.

In other words, you can buy the Speedriven high-flow performance downpipes for your stock Mercedes V12, and enjoy them for the life of the car- whether that means leaving it stock, or building up into a record-running track weapon.

Speedriven’s stainless steel downpipes are available now for W221 and W216 Mercedes-Benz 600 biturbo V12 and 65 series AMG models, and are available now with or without cats for $2000 or $1400, respectively.

Speedriven Downpipes for W221 and W216.

You'd sell more if you offered these for the S550 07-11. S600 owners account for about 2% of the members on here.

By that logic we should only tune Ford F-150s, since there's an order of magnitude more of them than there are Mercedes S550s.

You logic is backwards. You are catering to a group of people with a niche vehicle. Putting ford in the same sentence as a S550 is disrespectful. You have to cater to what the people want, and not always you think they want. Make a set, do a dyno and have something that no one else offers in the USA. Now, you've created the niche market.

I'm not trying to start an argument, amigo. As for the S550 downpipes, the cars have been out since 2007 and I've literally never had a request for such a thing. All the same, I'd be happy to make them! If you're local and want to leave your car for a few days we could work out something special for you.

Ok, I'm glad I took it wrong then. I was in a similiar situation with an Infiniti car we did exhausts for. There's an Infiniti M45 v8, and an Infiniti M35 v6. I ended up making stuff for the v8, but those owners didn't care to mod their cars, and the V6 owners did. The V6 exhaust we eventually did actually gave more power than the V8 one.

Now all we need is someone in Chicago that's near you. I'm a plane flight away which won't work.

how about 2012+ s550 downpipes?
these makes more sense because of two turbos like the s660,
the gain should be pretty noticeable.

I'm only 30 minutes from Palatine. Perhaps you can strike a "special deal" on my S600 by doing before and after dyno's that you can add to your sales literature?

FYI, gang- we've added a crossover-style mid-pipe to this set-up without adding to the price. Gotta love that!

tchu - how do you like your muffler delete? Do you get any drone? Is it a lot louder than with the mufflers?

I LOVE it. Its a lot louder but its not as loud as you would expect for a car without mufflers though. There is a tiny bit of drone but not that bad because I used to have a e550 with meisterschaft and it sounded godly. That car had much more drone then what I have now with no mufflers in the s600. You should go for it The turbos are the reason why its still kind of quiet though. The e550 with meisterschaft was way louder!

We've done a few of these now, and no- I can't tell any difference at all.

tchu- make sure you post a sound clip when you are done. Are you going catless with 3" straight pipe?

You will get quite a bit of drone. Mine has quite a bit and I have the same setup but with the 200cell sport cat. Let us know how it turns out
