start by getting your battery tested. it is most likely bad.

My car has been parked for over two months but I've started it a few times just to keep the battery a go.

Agree. That's a classic under-voltage situation. Probably time for a new battery.

After 5 weeks, you've likely drained your accessory battery. Same thing happened to me after having my car parked for a week....and not noticing that one of the vanity mirrors in the back was down.

Try jump starting the starter battery in the front to get the car started. You may need to let it run for a while as the accessory battery charges. After a while, those messages should disappear and you should be good to go.

2010+ have only one battery. Wonder what they changed so you don't need two.

Yep, pretty much, and 6 inches of snow again today. Can't escape it.

I know the same sized battery that's in the back of the (2) battery cars (electrical/consumer battery) is now under the hood of the newer (1) battery car.

So, you are saying that the engine battery for 07-09 is much smaller than the 10-13 engine battery and is the same size as the previous trunk battery from 07-09?"

The engine (engine start only) battery is very small.....so small that the dealer is one of the few vendors that carry that small size. (It's damn near riding lawnmower battery sized)

The consumer battery between the rear seat& the trunk of a 07-08 is the same size (Group 49 I think) as the only battery, under the hood, in the 09 & newer.

(The blue tooth puck for size reference)

This is under the hood in the engine compartment.

I think size doesn't matter in this score but what I find weird is why they put a battery that requires a screw driver to remove the covers to add fluid ? That battery should have been a maintenance free ,sealed one instead

So that is another source of riding lawn mower batteries - used Mercedes batteries!
