23k? Wow! You got the deal of the century. Is your 550 an AMG package car? If so, then is it hard to live without it on your 600?
No, the 550 doesnt have the amg package on it but if it did, it doesn't compare to the 600...I feel bad because I feel like my 550 is now a neglected stepchild out alone and I have not driven it since I got the 600.

So, I was just going through all of the records in further detail from the mercedes dealers. The car sat for 3 years in the garage and they never drove it, so mercedes had to replace the batteries. Who buys a car like this and lets it sit in the garage for 3 years? Wow.
It was taken to the dealer after they decided to drive it again for a full inspection - the only thing they had to do was replace the batteries...this was a few years ago though. They have put about 6k miles on it since.
Just got off the phone with the warranty company to verify the exact coverage etc. I think this is pretty good for a free warranty. Everything is covered on the car except the following items:
The S600 is a reserved, refined, stately, understated car for folks who cherish comfort and who are comfortable with who they are. The AMG cars are for those in need of making a statement with what they drive and that statement is usually something along the lines of "mine is bigger than yours."
S600 all the way.

23k!!! He was originally asking 30,500 for his wife but he just wanted to sell it because he wife didn't need it and only drove her other cars. Car is spotless. I still cant believe it. I was driving back last night and just smiled the whole way home as I kept looking at the interior and playing with all of the buttons.
I wouldn't get any of those cars they are way too old from what you already have, unless the CLS is the newer model then I would go with that. Otherwise, I would skip on that entire list posted.
Where do you live? I'd part with my 07 S600 for $60k
Funny , but I prefer the W222 j/k
I live in America, but not in the US (if that makes sense to you guys LOL)
By the way, I guess that car got sold! Because I not longer see it online for sale
I have never seen a w221 S600, just a couple of w221 S63 Amg´s. They are quite a bit expensive as you can tell, and well, because as you guys know, people nowadays are mostly into SUVs.

The S600 is an amazing machine! You would love it!
WHPH28, Congratulations on the purchase! I just happened to check the forum today and read this string of posts. As a '07 S600 owner, I've had my share of ups and downs with the V12. First, I absolutely love the car, but they have a set of peculiarities. When you have a chance to drop the front belly pan, check the coolant lines to the turbos. Especially since this vehicle has rested for a long period of time. There are two o-rings on each turbo. When these become cracked, the coolant will leak out. My system would bleed itself dry over a few months if the temperature got below 50 degrees F. Solution? Car up on rack and removal of complete drive train. This set me back $4000 at an independent garage (an excellent mechanic and MB enthusiast.) At the dealer this would have been between $10k-$12k from the estimates that I received. While he was at it, he replaced the motor mounts and rear trans mount. My car has 45k miles and if you think the S600 is smooth with compressed motor mounts, you will be blown away when they are new. The car is absolutely awesome and beautiful, as you are aware.
I'm surprised you could get a warranty - that's great. I tried to get one on mine and after I gave the VIN, the guy just laughed at me. Actually he said, and I quote, 'Uh... No'

Thanks! I absolutely love the car. The owner purchased a $0 deductible warranty which I believe was around $8k. I am covered for another 2.5 years so if anything mechanical goes wrong, I'm good to go and there is no limit on the repair amount.
There was a small coolant leak right after I got it which I only knew about because the low coolant light came on and there was a super tiny leak in the radiator that they detected after a pressure test. No sign of coolant on the ground or anything. I took it in to the dealer for an full inspection and they found it and nothing else. They replaced the radiator at the dealer...$0.00.
