MY PROBLEM IS THAT I WENT TO MERCEDES THEY SAID BLADDER IS LEAKING I HAVE AFTER MARKET WARRANTY SO I TOOK THE CAR TO AN INDEPENDENT SHOP. WHEN I PUT THE MASSAGE ON, IT WORK FOR 10 SEC WHEN THE AIR REACHES THE TOP HEAD REST IT SHUT OFF AND I CAN HEAR A HISS LIKE AIR IS ESCAPING AND IT GOES TO "0". JUST THE DRIVER SEAT WAS BAD. BUT I GOT BOTH AIR BLADDERS REPLACED FOR PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE. I WENT TO TEST THE CAR I AM HEARING THE SAME NOISE WIT THE NEW BLADDER INSTALLED. THE GUY OPEN THE TRUNK AND SHOW ME THE OLD BLADDERS. HE OPEN THE DRIVER SIDE AND THERE IS A VALVE IN THE SEATS IT SELF WHERE THE PINK TUBE IS GOING INTO AT THE TOP BETWEEN THE FANS. KEEP IN MIND IT'S NOT THE CONTROL UNIT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SIT. I CALLED A FEW PLACE SO DID THE SHOP EVEN TOOK THE TOP SEAT OUT THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT IS NEITHER. MERCEDES ORDER THE PARTS THEY THINK IS NEEDED, THEY END UP SENDING THE BLADDERS AGAIN I AM VERY STRESS OUT MY CAR BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR 3 WEEKS NOW I NEED HELP GUYS! GIVE ME A PART NUMBER OR SOMETHING I CAN WORK WIT THANKS.

THIS BLACK BOX IS THE CONTROL VALVE, WHICH IS LOCATED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SEATS THAT ALL THE BLADDERS ARE PLUG INTO. I DON'T NEED THIS!

Original complaint, limit switch in massage actuator motor could be defective. The massage unit and the actuator are permanently installed in the backrest padding and cannot be replaced separately. Most likely why MB sent additional pads. There is always the possibility that the new part is defective, confirm part # is 2219103704. You only claim to hear hissing noise again, leading me to believe original complaint is resolved if this is the case next step would be to check pneumatic lines for leaks and kinks and check for and/or clear fault codes with MB DAS.

when the massage is on the air move from bottom to top, as it reaches the top i can hear a noise as air is escaping somewhere from the top. The guy at the shop thinks the unit in the seat is bad. He doesn't want to take out the leather to check so i have no idea. I called a few MB and everyone giving me the part number for the control unit which i don't need! i'm lost and confuse it's going to be a month now my car is in the shop i have warranty, but mercedes doesn't accept my after market warranty. Does the back rest comes with the fan and the valve unit that the pink line in run into as you can see in the pictures i posted?? Just want to know cause it will be easy to put the bladder and cover which will make me head ache finish!

I had the same issue but i found that the problem was that the actual bladders themselves had ruptured in the bolster area. Try and test to find out where the hissing is coming from. I have to replace the sear adapter with the bladder assembly on mine. But to be honest im going to wait on it because I do not have a warranty on mine. I am going to diy it when i get around to it. 221 910 22 75 is the part number i need to replace on mine

you could try spraying a tiny amount of soapy water at various connections and see where you get bubbles
