IC re-marry
There is a service told me if my used IC from Ebay can be zeroed out the mileage then I can adapt to my car and update the mileage from the car to the correct one, is that true? because I though once it is married to a car you can not adapt it to a different car.

Correct, you will need MB DAS to complete the task + SCN coding may be required.

Thanks. Do you know if there is hardware and software that can do the zeroing? Or is it possible to de-solder and move the Eeprom?

I believe mileage can be legally manipulated via das once and in a very narrow range.

My main odometer is 0 because I just installed a brand new EIS with no data transferred from my old damaged one. My bought-used IC is 80000 some and I could not find in any menu where to zero it out. My IC now just show ------. Wonder if I can change my EIS to match the IC then file a report for not accurate mileage.

Had a odometer man came over and rolled back the meter to 98 miles through OBD and did the teaching to authorization system. It shows the mileage now.
