keyless-go key fob survived washing machine and dryer

I accidentally left my 2007 key fop in my pants when they were placed in the washer. I heard some noise from the clothes dryer and found my key fob as banging against the dryer drum.

To my surprise, the key fob survived and is working with no issues one day later. Both the keyless go operation still works and the buttons on the key fob work.

if it really got soaked in water and detergent, its just a matter of time before corrosion kicks in and it dies off.

You should really take it apart and clean the board off with isopropyl alcohol. f still still wet inside, things will start to turn green and the connections can get bad. Key comes apart easy. Youtube changing battery in mercedes remote.

Got thrown in a pool with my key fob once......took it apart and dropped the parts in a zip lock bag of rice. (To reduce the chance of corrosion)

All good.
