Squeaky suspension

I have a peculiar problem. Sometimes something in my S550 suspension squeaks. It's pretty loud and squeaks when moving over bumps and transitions, which is all the time. It may do this for a week, then it mysteriously goes away. This has happened three times. Squeaks for a while, then goes back to silent normal operation. Anyone experienced this???

Depends on the weather
Sounds like bushings. I had this issue on one of my range rovers. It was fine some days and others it would do it all the time over bumps. I used a needle and injected grease in to the rubber surrounding the bushing and like magic, it went away for good.

My guess is that it could be the the front torque strut or the front lower control arm which connects to the airmatic strut. Put it on a rack grab the wheel and move it to hear where the noise is coming from. Otherwise visually inspect for a damaged ball joint boot. I don't think you can just replace a ball joint. You would have to replace the whole control arm assembly. Mercedes dealership using OE parts would charge about $800-$1000 depending on where you live. Indie would be less.

I had that problem and it turned out to be the stabilizer bar bushings. Changed them out & the sound went away. Now I have a new problem, when I turn my wheel to the left I hear some kind of whining noise on the left side or steering column area mostly when parking, not driving.
