Was curious as to why you ended up with the S350. I know they're hard cars to compare, but they both represent the pinnacle of diesel offerings from the big 2.

A 5 series is a match for the e class. Currently bmw does not have a diesel s-class competitor

I realize that, but currently there is no diesel E-Class match for the 5er. A 4 cylinder W212 diesel does not compete with the 535D.

The top dog German diesel sedans right now are the A6, S350 and 535d. So while they don't technically compete, in my mind, they are the only choices. I will not consider an Audi btw.
