That said, I've had some dealings with the seller and emailed to ask him and he said he thought Michelin or Pirelli would have been O/E on this car. But he said the Coopers are almost new and the P.O. went to trouble to change spare too so he's leavin as is. That said, he said he had a new set of Michelin's handy to put on it if the buyer wanted (he sells a lot of R107's).

I didn't post in this thread to drudge up any of the BS, that's long since behind us....no worries...just having some fun. And how about that car? F'g beauty!!

One comment thought, relative to your thought on an "analogy", I feel similarly about watches. Omega makes a fine watch and with a solid band and a quality movement that's probably more reliable and a better timekeeper than Rolex, and less expensive....and while I have nice examples of both....generally speaking I'm more inclined to the Rolex than the Omega...

...and why? Frankly, it's a fashion statement.

Therein in lay the explanation for you, Cooper's just aren't fashionable by your estimation...
