Depends on the weather
Looks like it's a 4x4 the way it's sitting on those tires...too high/wheels too big or tires too thin.

What size tires are they? They look really thin or maybe it's just the lip of the wheel making it look that way?

Lower it and it will look 10x better. This is my car with 22" rims. I have a 28mm drop.

There are many questionable urban neighborhoods where 22"+ are the wheels of choice. Don't be so quick to judge.

Bah... I've always been a fan of 22's on a big body car.

I had a Lexus LS460L which I also put 22's on.

I find it strange that the 22's on the smaller Lexus look smaller than the 22's on your Benz. Perhaps it's the stance or style of wheel that makes them look too big on the Benz.

Yeah, I like them on the Lexus. The proportions are better somehow. Looks like more offset so they stay within the envelope of the body.

OP, what's the offset on your 22's?

It may also be because they are 5 stars on the Lexus. Those always seem to look the best.

It's the lip and the 2 piece construction, it "reads" like a 21". 22" with a lip is perfect on a 221, or an actual 21" if you can find them.
