Good 12V tap near rearview mirror

Hi Guys, looking to hard wire my escort RD just under the rear view mirror. Don't like cords hanging out. Is there a good 12V tap I can use near the mirror or anywhere under the dash. The car is a 2012 S550 4Matic.

get a long straight cable that has cigarette plug on one end and then plug it into the cigarette outlet in the glove box. Route the cable out the right side, up the pillar, across the headliner and you are done.

Interior lighting, just in front of rear view mirror. Connected it before light switch.

Remember that these windows have UV filters that mess with radar reception. There is an area in the lower center of the windshield for these devices for this purpose. You can seen this in the right light at the right angle. You may want to consider that before you permanantly mount your device.

The glass is one of the reasons the garage door openers are weak in these cars. I know in my case I have to be right in front of the door for the opener to work.

There is also a rectangular patch on the left side of the rear view mirror that is "open" (no infrared film) for radar detectors. I use the lower one for toll transponders.
