Question "Raise" button; Trunk close/or/lock button; Seat position on Start NOT WORKING

I have had a 2007 MBZ5500 4Matic for 6 years now. In the last few weeks I have noticed several "button" becoming intermittent(work sometime and not other times. I'm wondering if something is starting to fail? If so, what?

SYMPTOMS:
1) Occasionally, the "raise"(airmatic) button on the dash does not respond(neither the red light or the cars level changes, up or down). After a few hours it works again.

2) Neither truck close or shut&lockcar buttons on the trunk lid work.

3) The seat position on starting the car and closing the drivers door has stopped working. Pushing the "M1" button does position it correctly.

Any thought would be appreciated......

Problem might be caused by a weak battery located in the trunk. Do you still have the original battery? This battery under the hood is used to start the engine.

Steve is right. Your accessory battery in the trunk is weak. It either needs a good charge or needs to be replaced.

Smile

Battery was slowly dying--after more than 9 years of service! Replaced and all is good again.
Thanks for the tip.
