Jist tried another T2A and still error message saying device not avaiable. Might be the actual cable. Wonder if Best buy sells universal aux cables for these cars. Seen a couple on ebay.

I doubt it would be the cable. what happens when you ask the phone to search for Bluetooth devices? Does it come up? Does the car easily activate Bluetooth for the actual phone?

Yes the car activates the bluetooth for the car and it works fine. I inspected the 30 pin cable (the end that plugs into the Tune2Air) and it does look to be in bad condition. so i tried the Aux connection on the cable and it played the music fine.

It actually might be the cable. All MB and Audi use the same MMI female connectors into the car but the actual pin-outs vary by model and year. It's possible someone tossed the wrong cable in there before you bought the car.

The 1000 is the correct T2A, and this is the correct adapter cable:Tune2air issues - help please-photo864.jpg

May be a new part #. As long as it's the MMI IPod/Aux In cable for the 2010+ W221 you should be okay.

So i purchased a new connector for the Ipod/Aux from the dealer, and everything works perfectly, the Phone connected to the T2A, and immediately displayed on my speedometer. So far so good, the sound quality is not bad, sounds just like a hard docked ipod.

Excellent! BT Audio uses a very high 357kbs compression rate. For anything your iPhone is capable of playing there should be no audible loss vs a hard dock. If you got into hi res stuff encoded with a 24 bit bit-depth and a sampling rate above 44khtz the BT would choke on it, but anything at or below lossless CD quality is fine.

You also have full control of the iPhone via COMAND. If you go to Music, you'll see a link to your playlists. Any custom Apple Music Radio station you've created will show up as a Playlist.

I'd also recommend going into Settings>Music, on the phone, toggle on EQ and select Bass Booster.

Glad it worked out. The only gripe about the T2A that I have is that once it's connected, you cannot disconnect the phone via the cars bluetooth. Not a major issue at all tho.

A major pro to it is that you Can now allow your passengers to play music via Bluetooth from their phone or music device, whether they are in the front of back seat. Kids, wife, etc. now everyone's happy lol.

Some comes with AMI port and some with 30 pin cable. If your car have the 30 pin cable, all you need is the viseeousa WMA1000 because this plugs to any 30 pin iPod integration cable or connector. I have my tune2air and works perfect for me without interruption. I hope this helps.

I have the same S550 you have right down to the color, and so far the WMA3000A does not work in my car. After fiddling with this thing a bit more, what appears to be happening is that ONLY the 3.5mm AUX cable carries bluetooth audio through my COMAND, and the 30 pin is only for charging. I bought a brand new cable, and it does the same thing with the new one on any 30 pin bluetooth unit. The WMA3000A has its own cable, but the device does not have an AUX port on it, so there's no streaming through the built on cable of the WMA3000A. I bought a bluetooth unit off Ebay for less than 5.00 that has the 3.5mm AUX port, and connected ONLY the AUX cable to it. It streams bluetooth loudly and clearly in my 2013 S550. The only thing it does not do that the 89.00 WMA3000A does is display on the COMAND screen, so you have to control it from the phone. I still have a replacement WMA3000A coming on Monday, but I'm not optimistic that it will work due to the lack of a 3.5 AUX port on it. I have to be able to plug BOTH the 30 pin cable (for charging), AND the 3.5mm AUX cable (for bluetooth streaming).

UPDATE: The new Bovee WMA3000A arrived early, and as I suspected, it does not work on my car either. I'll just have to go with my $4.72 Ebay purchase, and control the music from my phone. Anyone wanna buy a WMA3000A? I have two of them now, lol!

Less than 5.00 on Ebay

Figured it out! I had to have the Apple Music app on my phone, and at least one track downloaded, and the WMA3000A worked. Now I have an extra WMA3000A since I ordered a second one thinking the first may have been defective. Spent 89.00 for nothing. So goes life, lol! I'm happy now though!

Well, I just got it in the mail yesterday brand new. It's still in the box. I paid 89.00 for it. I also have a working used one I can sell for about 60 bucks.

Tune 2 air works for 2011 s63 wma3000

Just an update; I Found out the bovee wma3000 does work on the 2011 w221 vehicles. I know few of the guys are complaining it connects but doesn’t play any music from pandora or Spotify from the iOS phones. ( xs max for myself). I did some digging around and found a review on amazon saying that you MUST have at least one song in your Apple Music library. I do not use Apple Music like that, but I went into my iTunes account purchased a song for $1.29 and boom it works! Spotify, pandora, and YouTube plays from our phones.

QUOTE=goosesedan;6677772]So i installed the tune2air interface in my car (MY2010) and it pairs with my iphone 6 with no issues, but it doesnt play any sound out of the car, or even recongnizes the device. It gives an error of "no device connected" then later switches to "device unavaiable". Anyone had this issue before please shed some light on what to do. I included some pictures if that helps!

Wanted to first thank everyone for their input on this thread as once I switched to an iPhone my tune2air would not work, but does after I downloaded as song to my Apple Music app.

I wanted to ask if anyone is having issues with using the phone itself for conversations in the car with the tune2air? I’m unable to figure how to now use the tune2air for phone conversations within the car. I have a 2010 s550

Use the Tune2Air for music via AUX and use the built in bluetooth (dongle in center console) connectivity for the phone system for your phone.

That's what you will need to use to make and receive calls in your car.

NTG3.0 comand units 2005 to 2008...

1) base models NO phone option of any description (the phone dial pad can't be lifted)
2) phone system option, allows you to clip in a phone integrated with the dial pad, comand screen and steering wheel buttons
3) another option to go with option 2 to have useless BT that can't make a phone call..... (its ONLY for a rear seat phone to BT to the phone clipped in the front centre arm rest)

options 2 and 3 bring a phone call only UHI socket, where you can unclip what's there and fit a number of BT devices that integrate as if the car had BT telephony from the factory. However if you have Pink IR tinted UV reflecting glass option, the signal depletes by 4 bars

NTG3.5 comand units late 2009 to 2013

may have real BT phone call ONLY pairing built in
other fun ensues to get BT music streaming (a merc device attempts to do it badly) third party systems can be made to work

A grown up solution now exist for either NTG 3.0 or 3.5 to connect like a modern car... https://www.joyeauto.com/product/wjm...uto-interface/
