After-market warranty companies: Who's good/who's bad?

This is mostly for folks who's cars are outside of factory warranty and can no longer purchase a CPO or Benz extended warranty. But some after-market warranty companies offer less expensive coverage that is just as good or better than CPO warranties with longer coverage. With all of the complicated systems on the S-class, an exclusionary policy (most provider's top of the line policy) that covers everything on the car except for the items that are specifically excluded, should be the first type of policy that should be considered, even though the cost is higher than named component coverage. Always ask for a copy of the actual contract (not the brochure that the dealers hand out) and read it in full so you are aware of what you are getting yourself into.
I personally have an exclusionary policy that I purchased through my credit union. It is called Member's Choice and claims are filed through The Warranty Group. Some credit unions that are part of the CUNA network sell this policy. In order to see if you're credit union sells this policy, you will have to call them. You may actually have to call several credit unions in your area to see if they offer this policy. Many credit unions offer different types of policies sold by different companies who they associate with. Some may be just as good as mine, some may not be.
I purchased coverage on my 2007 S600 with V12 bi-turbo motor in Nov, 2014 with 24k on the odo. I paid $3300 for an additional 7 yrs and 75k miles of coverage that will take me to 99k miles and Nov, 2021. I have a $100 deductible per visit for covered repairs. Coverage is transferable to the next owner of the car for a $50 fee. This company will cover V12 and all AMG cars, including the S65. Price for the S65 & S63 was exactly the same as what I paid based on the same mileage and year of car. Cost and years/miles of available coverage is based on the mileage your car has when you purchase coverage.
So far after 15 months, my warranty has paid out over $11k in claims and have never given me any hassles. This has been an absolute no-brainer.
I hope others chime in with their experiences, good and bad with warranties they have purchased.

2008 S550. Purchased 10/6/15 with 61,770. Warranty with Assurant Solutions. Purchased through my credit union, USAA. I financed the car through USAA, but they would have sold me the warranty without financing through them. But, one does have to be a USAA member.
Warranty is 3 years, 36000 miles, zero deductible, exclusionary, cost about $4500. In 5 months, 2200 miles they covered about $3500 worth of repairs, including a potentially excluded item ("seat cushions" are excluded, but seat heaters are not; to repair the seat heater required replacement of the seat cushion; Assurant thus covered the cushion). MB service center said they'd not take third-party payments and that I'd have to pay then get reimbursed from Assurant. Assurant was ok with that. But, dealer ended up just taking payment from Assurant. Zero hassle so far. Dealer service advisor seems to work with them easily. I'm very happy with it so far.
Dave's warranty sounds awesome. Had I known that was possible, I would have done some research to see what my warranty options would have been on a lower mileage, though seemingly more scary (v12! holy sheite) car. 3 years/36k was the longest I could get for my car with Assurant.
